On the GOP convention in Chicago. Part 1, delegates and onlookers surround candidates Taft, Warren, Eisenhower, and Stassen in the streets. Crowds cheer Eisenhower and Taft riding in open cars. Shows crowded hotel lobbies. Eisenhower addresses the 82nd Air-borne Div. reunion. Taft tells newsmen that the country must return to American principles. Part 2, Chairman Gabriel calls the delegates to order. Senator Langlie (Washington) proposes a pro-Eisenhower amendment for the seating of delegates which is accepted. Gen. MacArthur gives the keynote address attacking the Democratic party as the "war party.
